Absolutely, my Wellbeing Advice package can help you with everything you need to do to set your cat up for success in their new home.
Everything takes place via video call, so you can be anywhere in the UK. Before your consultation, I'll ask you to complete a questionnaire about your cat's history, environment and behaviour. With video, photos, and guided walkthroughs, I can assess your cat’s environment and behaviour even more thoroughly.
For most cases, it is even more effective! Many cats behave differently or become stressed when an unfamiliar person is in their home, and so an online consultation allows me observe your cat in their own home without disrupting their usual routine and environment.
Every cat is a unique individual, with their own personality, history and emotional world, so I cannot guarantee specific results. What I can guarantee is that you'll receive a thorough, evidence-based, personalised behaviour plan based on your cat's specific needs, delivered with genuine care and without judgement. Most clients see meaningful improvement when the plan is followed consistently, and I'll support you every step of the way. There's no quick fixes and change takes time and patience, but you won't be doing it alone.
Yes, a vet visit is the first step in addressing any behavioural problem, as underlying pain or medical conditions are very often a contributing factor to the behaviour. Your vet may refer you directly, but you're also welcome to get in touch with me first.
Long-standing behaviours can take more time and consistency to change, but many cat parents have seen real improvements even after years of struggling. Please don't let the length of time put you off reaching out.
